Wellbeing

Ernest Bevin Academy is an inclusive community that aims to support students with medical conditions. Student medication is stored in the Medical Room and overseen by the Health and First Aid Assistant.

Ernest Bevin Academy has a number of staff who are qualified to perform first aid. A first aid qualified member of staff accompanies every school trip.

Staff are additionally trained in allergies, anaphylactic shock and Epi pen use, epilepsy, diabetes and other conditions as appropriate.

If a student is unhappy or concerned about their own well-being or that of another student they could:
  • speak to their tutor, head of year or any adult in the school
  • speak to Mr Kay, the EBA Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • or tell their parents and ask them to raise the matter with the academy.
