Ernest Bevin College offers a broad curriculum to ensure that all students in the Sixth Form have as much choice as possible when selecting courses. It is organised into 4 tiers based on the needs of our students.

Courses on offer at Key Stage 5
EBC Sixth Form offers a wide range of Level 2 &3 courses aimed to cater to a wide range of prior ability students. These courses aim to prepare Sixth Form students for university, apprenticeships or work.
A LEVELS
Requiements:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 9-4
- Grade 4+ in English or Maths
- Plus meet individual subject requirements
- All students study 3 na-achị
- To study 4 subjects students need a Average Point Score of 7 from full GCSEs only.
Science A Levels
Students who wish to study more than one science A Level must show a strong academic record with an Average Point Score of 6+ (Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Maths)
BTEC National Qualifications (Level 3)
Requirements
- 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 9-4 or merit in vocational courses
- Grade 4+ in English or Maths
- Plus meet individual subject requirements
BTEC National Qualifications (Level 2)
- Internal students only
- 4+ GCSEs at Grades 2/3
Vocational Learning Tier
These Level 2 qualifications are two year courses. They are equivalent to 4 GCSEs. They are coursework based and have no examinations.
EPQ Extended Project Qualification (Level3)
The Extended Project must develop and extend one or more of a learner’s study areas and/or from an area of personal interest or activity outside their main programme of study. It has to be based on a topic chosen by the learner. This is worth half an A level and is graded A* to E. All students will complete either an Extended Project or an ASDAN CoPE Level 2 or 3 award (see below).
