YEAR 7 TRANSISTION

We recently welcomed our new Year 7 Yellow Tie cohort, who joined us in September 2023.

We are currently accepting applications to join next year’s Year 7 Purple Tie cohort, with a start date of September 2024.

YEAR 7 ADMISSIONS

We will admit 120 pupils into Year 7 in September 2024.

Places will first be allocated to Children with an Education Health and Care Plan which names the school or for whom the school is being consulted with by the responsible Local Authority. In the event of oversubscription, the remaining places will then be offered in the following order of priority:

  1. Looked after children and those who ceased to be looked after children looked after because they were adopted, or because they became subject to a residence order, child arrangements order or a special guardianship order
  2. Children with a professionally supported exceptional medical need or exceptional social need for a place at the academy, as decided by Wandsworth Local Authority
  3. Applicants who have a sibling on the roll at the college at the time of application
  4. Children of staff employed directly at the school
  5. Applicants who live nearest to the academy using a straight-line measurement from home to the college as calculated by Wandsworth Council’s Geographical Information System

IN-YEAR ADMISSIONS AND TRANSFERS

If you wish to apply for a place at Ernest Bevin Academy outside of the Primary to Secondary transfer, you must do so through Wandsworth Pupil Services.

Parents are welcome to contact the school to inquire whether there are vacancies in years other than the normal transfer points (Year 7 and Year 12) and ask to visit the school during working hours to see a normal school day.
