Welcome to the Ernest Bevin College website and I hope you find it useful and informative and that it gives you some sense of the school’s vitality, values and of the many achievements of our students.
Ernest Bevin College is an all-boys school with a mixed sixth form where we provide an exceptional level of pastoral care, academic education and enrichment for every student. We are committed to providing excellence in education and opportunities for all.
In 2018, Ofsted recognised that we are “an inclusive school with a strong thoughtful ethos, where pupils feel cared for.”
We offer a rich, varied and stimulating curriculum, with a STEM specialism and we have exceptional sporting facilities, which include a swimming pool, a dojo, a sports hall and a fitness suite. Students are actively encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities with many gaining recognition at local and national level for their sporting achievements.
Our students consistently achieve examination results at GCSE and A Level that are higher than the national attainment for boys. Many of our students progress to our sixth form and the majority later secure places at university, including prestigious Russell Group institutions.
We deliver an ambitious and creative curriculum designed to develop a love of learning and an intellectual curiosity amongst our students. In addition to the formal curriculum, we offer a wealth of enrichment opportunities designed to enhance our students’ educational experience and develop their cultural awareness and appreciation. We aim to ensure that our students graduate from EBC with excellent qualifications, but also with the life skills and wealth of experience to ensure their success in further education, training or a career path of their choosing.
We are committed to securing the very best for all our students and in doing so, teaching them the values that lie at the heart of everything we do.
As Principal of Ernest Bevin College, I very much hope you take the opportunity to visit us and I look forward to welcoming you to the school.
Tracy Dohel, Principal of Ernest Bevin College
